Killer Brownies

I made KILLER BROWNIES for the Superbowl party we were invited too, but my husband, Rick, got sick. That means that Jacob and I have brownies for a crowd to ourselves.  Here is the recipe for the killer brownies:

Step 1
Cut up 1 stick butter into small pieces and break up 4 squares of bittersweet baking chocolate and melt in the microwave for 2 minutes stirring halfway through.
Step 2- stir until all has melted. Then add 2 cups sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla.
Step 3-Add 4 large eggs and stir well.

Step 4 - Add in 1 cup flour and mix to combine.
Step 5 - Add 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup peanut butter chocolate chips. Mix well and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
Step 6 - Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Step 7- Cut into bars and enjoy.

Our spoiled pets and football

Today I had to work a few hours training to teach a Resume, Application, and Interview class at the Employment Security Commission  I am currently teaching Coding and Billing. I am going to be teaching a Surgical Tech class on Tuesday and Thursday nights and a Medical Assistant class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday if I have enough people.

I like teaching coding, but I would love to be in an office Coding. I know it sounds crazy, but I like to code. I haven't been able to find a job in this because this area has very high unemployment. I am glad to have a job though.

Today was day 9 of no heat in the downstairs. My 13 year old is staying in a cold room so he can be near his beloved computer and video games. The heating and air guy came in today and let us know that the warranty company is going to pay to fix our heat pump. HOORAY!!!!

As I sit here writing, I see my two crazy old dogs lying on their beds in front of our wood stove. Our 10 year old Shiatsu  Bella, has trouble hearing and seeing but still thinks she is.a big dog. She will run out to a strange dog, or horse and kick it. So far, the animals around her have not been violent.

Bella sleeps with my husband and me. She will have dreams where she is chasing big dogs or so we think. She sleeps on her side, feet moving as if running and quietly barking. I think she is a Rottweiler in her sleep.

Our other dog, Hailey, is a 10 year old mix. We think she is a Rottweiler/Beagle mix with something else in there. She is brownish red and about 70 pounds. She was an outside dog until just recently. It was so cold and she was so old that our daughters decided it was time for her to come in. She has done great with no accidents but one when she was sick. She is so spoiled though. She believes that each person must pet her for 10 minutes straight or she will put her head under your arm or foot to get attention. If this doesn't work, she will bark at you until you pet her. I think we are her pets.

I am trying to figure out what to fix for a Superbowl party on Sunday at a friend's house. I will post pictures and recipes when I figure them out. Stay tuned. I am in the Superbowl for the commercials and the food. Go football.
